The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were previously unreachable by standard jibs. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This specific feature enables up and over reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform needs to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing productivity and efficiency.
