Genie Knuckle boom lifts are strong four wheel drive and four wheel steering capable machinery which allow work to be done effectively, even when the terrain is rough. The ALC 1000 electronic controls are a menu-based system which enables the user to easily calibrate the machinery and its parts. System diagnostics are offered in multiple languages. On the Z-80/60 unit, there are dual fuel options available. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is quiet, but turbocharged. It allows for better performance at higher altitudes. It also carries more than enough torque for better grade-ability and terrain.
Better traction for tough terrain is due to full-time positive traction and four-wheel drive. The Z-135/70 comes standard with four-wheel steering. Optional features on this unit include coordinated, crab, rear wheel and front wheel steering to give the machinery extra agility. The full-time active oscillating axle helps improve wheel contact on irregular ground. All of these features truly make Genie Knuckle Boom lifts easier and smoother to utilize on uneven terrain.
Genie's engine-powered articulating Z-booms are bigger than any other Genie units. They feature a continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs that are engineered to give the user a much better reach and range of motion. The design of the Z-boom gives the models outstanding over and up positioning capability that ranges from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 unit to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 unit. The XChassis expanding axle is an innovatively engineered device used for extending and retracting axles out and in of stowed position. When the axle is stowed the width of the Z-135/70 unit equipment is only 2.46 meters. The Z-80/60 has fixed width axles for easier transport.
